Far Peak is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds UK, providing easy access to nature and a variety of outdoor activities.
Yes, we provide ample parking space for our guests, ensuring easy access to all facilities and activities at Far Peak.
We're open from Easter until the end of October. During the colder months, we shut off all our water supplies and amenities to avoid frost damage to the pipes and mashing up the grass too much.
On occasion, we ask all our guests to stay for a minimum of 2 nights and 3 nights over the bank holiday weekends, to avoid disappointing others who want to stay for longer at these times.
A pitch is 1 unit - i.e. a tent, motor home, caravan, camper van, bivvy bag or igloo (normally applicable around the August Bank Holiday)!. Pitch price includes two adults (or 1 adult, 1 child). There are extra charges for additional children 3 - 17YO, awnings, gazebos, dogs, extra adults and cars. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can fit both your vehicle and unit on the pitch allocated to you. If you decide to bring extras, these must fit within the pitch or you may be charged for the additional space. Don't worry - you can discuss with us where exactly you want to pitch and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Yes, we love dogs, but we respect that some people do not and also some children are uncomfortable around animals that jump up, lick, bark and generally try to make a fuss. Therefore, we would ask that all dogs are kept under strict control around the campsite and camping areas. We definitely HATE dog mess - and although we know you cannot control when a dog has to go, you must always PICK IT UP! Any reports of laziness or disregard of this will have consequences. Besides - no one wants to tread in it and have to clear it off your shoes, let alone from between your toes.
Check in is 2pm throughout the season. Please call in at reception and see us before pitching as we don't want you to have to re-pitch if you are in the wrong area! By 12pm please, so we can get your Hut or Electric Hook Up ready for our next guests. We can be flexible, so please ask at check in if you wish to stay later. PLEASE NOTE: Our Glamping Domes, Huts and Tipis are a little earlier - 10.30am to give us enough time to service them.
Padel is a dynamic racket sport that began in Mexico and is most commonly played as a doubles game on an enclosed court smaller than a traditional tennis doubles court. Although it follows the same scoring system as tennis, padel is played with different rules, shots and tactics.

We have 8 covered private changing rooms on site as well as an open changing area with key lockers. There are also additional private changing rooms a short walk away within the Far Peak camping facilities. If you wear your swimmers underneath that makes it easy to strip off! We do not have a toilet in our corner of the site. Toilets and hot showers (summer months only) are provided by Far Peak Estate away from the site so we recommend using the facilities prior to arriving for your session; you'll walk past the toilets on your way to us by the Old Smokery. The Far Peak & Café cater for all you coffee, cake and food requirements. As well as the beautifully crafted traditional Finnish barrel sauna, we have three filtered and chilled ice baths, cool rainfall open shower and an outdoor relaxation area exclusive to Scenic Sauna guests to unwind between sauna and bathing.
