Once an old beetroot factory, Far Peak Estate has evolved significantly over the years. Now, it offers a strong wellness offering, event hire, and a variety of activities, including the Cotswolds' first indoor padel courts.
Chris Wild, our Founder, bought Far Peak Estate back in 2007, initially setting it up as B2B office units.
Then, he fancied climbing, so he built a climbing wall. Next, he fancied eating and drinking, so he built The Old Smokery. And when he REALLY fancied padel, you guessed it... he built two indoor padel courts. And when he began to overdo it on the padel courts... that's when he got the sports physio in!
All jokes aside, Far Peak stems from a genuine enthusiasm for the services it provides. Now, it's joined by a collection of independent businesses, all carefully curated to ensure a complete and vibrant experience.
Far Peak is a vibrant community of businesses united by a shared commitment to health, wellbeing, and environmental responsibility.
We believe that these values are interconnected: a healthy environment supports our wellbeing, and sustainable practices contribute to a healthier future.
Our facilities are equipped with solar panels and electric charging points, underscoring our dedication to reducing our environmental impact and promoting a responsible lifestyle.
We understand that achieving our goals will be a continuous journey, and while we’re not perfect, we are committed to making meaningful strides in the right direction.
Join us in this journey and become part of a community dedicated to making a difference.
Yes, we provide ample parking space for our guests, ensuring easy access to all facilities and activities at Far Peak.
Far Peak is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds UK, providing easy access to nature and a variety of outdoor activities.
A pitch is 1 unit - i.e. a tent, motor home, caravan, camper van, bivvy bag or igloo (normally applicable around the August Bank Holiday)!. Pitch price includes two adults (or 1 adult, 1 child). There are extra charges for additional children 3 - 17YO, awnings, gazebos, dogs, extra adults and cars. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can fit both your vehicle and unit on the pitch allocated to you. If you decide to bring extras, these must fit within the pitch or you may be charged for the additional space. You can pre-arrange any requests of where you would like to pitch with management via email camping@farpeak.co.uk and we will do our best to accommodate you but please note this is not guaranteed.
No — Far Peak Climbing and Cycle Hire are separate businesses, and all activities and instructor-led sessions must be booked separately and in advance of your stay. However, we do have a small outdoor play area suitable for children aged 3+, which is open for all guests and visitors to use. From 2019 onwards, use of the Low Ropes Course has also been separate from the campsite. Guests will need to pop into the climbing centre reception to register (or you can do this online) and collect a coloured wristband to access the course for the duration of your stay. As the Low Ropes Course is part of the climbing centre, it is only available during their business hours.
On occasion, we ask all our guests to stay for a minimum of 2 nights and 3 nights over the bank holiday weekends. However, on occasion, we can make an exception, but only by prior arrangement with management.
Throughout the year, we host a range of social and competitive padel events for our members and the wider community. With a maximum of 16 players, each monthly competition is open to both members and non-members, with a few well-earned beers in the bar afterwards.
Yes, we offer padel coaching for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced players. Our coach, Kingsley, provides both individual and group coaching for players of all ages and abilities.

Yes, we recommend booking in advance online at www.scenicsauna.co.uk.
We have 8 covered private changing rooms on site as well as an open changing area with key lockers. There are also additional private changing rooms a short walk away within the Far Peak camping facilities. If you wear your swimmers underneath that makes it easy to strip off! We do not have a toilet in our corner of the site. Toilets and hot showers (summer months only) are provided by Far Peak Estate away from the site so we recommend using the facilities prior to arriving for your session; you'll walk past the toilets on your way to us by the Old Smokery. The Far Peak & Café cater for all you coffee, cake and food requirements. As well as the beautifully crafted traditional Finnish barrel sauna, we have three filtered and chilled ice baths, cool rainfall open shower and an outdoor relaxation area exclusive to Scenic Sauna guests to unwind between sauna and bathing. New to the site is our woodland studio with wood burning stove, offering weekly yoga classes and monthly day retreats and workshops.
Absolutely! We offer wellness retreats that combine various activities and services to promote relaxation and well-being in a serene environment. Visit our Group Packages page to find out more.
